About Cheryl Rhodes
As a local Dallas artist, I focus on modern abstract and landscape painting. Self-taught and a creative soul all my life, I am always at my best and definitely happiest when I am creating. It's so easy to lose yourself when you are painting and the hours just slip by. My work is many times influenced by nature which is a common theme in some of my pieces. However, I love the freedom that abstract painting allows an artist. While on one hand, I love the serene beauty of a landscape, I also use big color and heavy texture in my abstracts to provide impact and bold statements. My hope is that my paintings provide as much joy to you as they do to me while I am creating them. Original artwork can bring so much beauty into our personal spaces...
