About Cheryl Rhodes
As a local Dallas artist, I focus on modern abstract and landscape painting. Self-taught and a creative soul all my life, I am always at my best and definitely happiest when I am creating. It's so easy to lose yourself when you are painting and the hours just slip by. My work is many times influenced by nature which is a common theme in some of my pieces. However, I love the freedom that abstract painting allows an artist. While on one hand, I love the serene beauty of a landscape, I also use big color and heavy texture in my abstracts to provide impact and bold statements.
